This unique design carries genuine meaning to the artist, Archie Kilmor, as his direct-paternal Great-Great-Grandfather arrived from Donegal, Ireland, to Ballarat, Australia, to join the Gold Diggings just a year after the rebellion.

Despite being born in 1970, many years after the event, Archie Kilmor had these same values instilled by oral tradition and a steady diet of books such as "Robbery Under Arms" by Rolf Boldrewood.
